Abby Bennett Guido
Guest Instructor Abby Bennett Guido is the founder and creative director of Abby Ryan Design in Philadelphia. She recently completed her MBA at the Fox School of Business, Temple University. Abby is also an Assistant Professor of Graphic and Interactive Design at Tyler School of Art where she teaches graphic design, typography and infographics courses.
Ana Gómez Bernaus
Core Instructor Ana Gomez Bernaus’ specialty is a mix of illustration and typography, making lettering her favorite discipline. Her lettering and title treatment work with Imaginary Forces, Nike, BigStar NY, Trinchero Wines, Psyop, Converse and others have earned her much recognition including the TDC Certificate for Typographic Excellence.
Yee-Ping Cho
Core Instructor At Cross Associates, art director Yee-Ping Cho worked with Simpson Papers to develop the first paper samples in the industry to feature specialty printing techniques. He’s also produced reports for Fortune 500 clients and participated in the American Funds’ rebranding effort. He has taught at Art Center of Design and the Art Institute, and is senior designer at Baker Brand.
John Downer
Guest Instructor John Downer is an illustrious American journeyman sign painter, typeface designer and logo designer. Downer began his career as a sign painter in the late 1960s. His typefaces have been published by Bitstream, Font Bureau, Emigre, House Industries, and Design Lab. His work was featured in the Sign Painters documentary, New York Times Sunday Magazine and more.
Aspacia Kusulas
Core Instructor Aspacia Kusulas is a lettering artist, letterpress printer and calligrapher specializing in brand identity, packaging & stationery, all with a strong emphasis in typography. She earned her degree at Universidad Iberoamericana, studied letterforms at Art Center College, and earned a type design certificate from Type@Cooper. She teaches in L.A. and Zacatecas, Mexico.
Shannon Losorelli-Doronio
Core Instructor Shannon Losorelli-Doronio is a partner at Parallel-Play, where she designs annual reports for both 826LA and 826National, catalogs for LA Louver, books for the Echo Park Time Travel Mart, publications for Chronicle Books and teaches design at College of the Canyons. She received her BFA from Otis College of Design and is a Chronicle Books Fellow.
Eric Graves
Core Instructor For over 15 years, Eric Graves has been designing annual reports and print communications for multiple Fortune 500 companies including Alexandria, LegalZoom, HP, Chevron, WellPoint, Anthem, Sempra Energy, and DineEquity. He studied English at Cal State Northridge and is currently a senior designer at Alexandria Real Estate.
Michael Stinson
Lead Instructor With over than 20 years in the field of design, Michael Stinson has been recognized by CommArts, Mohawk Paper, TDC, Graphis, etc. Conversely, he’s served on the juries for the Ad Club, Graphis, One Show Design and the Young Ones. He earned his degree at Cal Poly Pomona and is the typography instructor at Laguna College of Art + Design.
